Andre Coy, was involved in building the climate database on a part-time basis in the first year. He was reading for a M. Phil degree on the subject of lightning detection.

The AIACC-funded project, which was developed in the first year of the CRN, is starting to provide opportunities for four graduate students to get involved in a major research project: 

  • Mr. Reynaldo Crossbourne to work on the database
  • Mr. Lawrence Brown to work on climate scenarios
  • Mrs. Charmaine Heslop-Thomas to work on socioeconomic/vulnerability studies 
  • Miss Karen Polson to work on epidemiology studies

The students are at the University of the West Indies.
